Bone densitometry (also known as Dexa scanning), provides a fast and convenient way to assess the bone (calcium) density and condition of the spine and hips. It uses a low dose of focused x-rays.

EXAM PREPARATION

Wear clothing containing no metal (such as sweat pants). Otherwise you will need to change into a gown.
